Installation Information

Heat Pumps require piping and electrical wiring between the indoor unit and the outdoor compressor in 90% of the applications so Air Con NZ 2000 Ltd has helped define the basic book to back installation and is now accepted in retail NZ wide.

Experienced Advice

It is important to receive experienced information on the Size and Model of your heat pump. Choosing an "oversized" unit will cool an area too quickly, causing the unit to turn on and off too often which will waste electricity and money. Similarly a unit that is too small will run constantly and will not heat or cool the room adequately.

Back to Back Installation Includes:

Installation of a HiWall or floor mounted heat pump on an exterior wall with the outdoor unit directly behind and below.

The outdoor unit is mounted on a concrete paver with treated wooden feet.

Maximum Allowance includes the following:-

• Pipe & Cable between units
• Electrical Isolator (waterproof type)
• PVC Trunking 2 metres only (to cover pipes)
• PVC end cap x 1
• Concrete Paver x 1 (900mm x 450mm)
• Wooden treated Feet
• Power Supply cable or appropriate connection with a max of 10 metres cable
• MCB on switch board
• Electrical Compliance Certificate
• Manufacturers Warranty
• Air Con NZ $50,000.00 Workmanship Warranty
