Environmental Implications

Air Con New Zealand is committed to providing training to all our installers and assessors aimed at providing the best environmental solution to meet your budget whilst maintaining the NZ Energy Efficiency recommendations and standards

We attempt to recycle all packaging via the local recycling processes and refrigerant gas control recovery during installation and repair or decommissioning of heat pumps. (Old decommissioned heat pumps should never just be taken out and dumped.)

For example nearly a million older homes throughout New Zealand are in dire need of insulation and are considered in some countries to be substandard accommodation.

Insulating the roof in your home will alone save over a tonne of CO2 emissions annually - or in NZs case about 1.2 million tonnes of CO2 could be saved across the country per year if every house was insulated. This is the reason for the drive by EECA to encourage improvements in insulation, New Zealand Wide.

That's equivalent to taking over 360,000 cars off our roads. Think about this next time you drive your car to the shop!
