Insulation Options

Terra Lana manufactures natural wool insulation for ceilings, walls and underfloor. Terra Lana also manufactures cylinder wraps and pipe lagging.

Woollen Cylinder Wrap

The average New Zealand household uses 45% of its electricity to heat water. Terra Lana cylinder wraps are designed to conserve energy and reduce electricity charges by insulating older (pre 1998) hot water cylinders.

Terra Lana cylinder wraps are made from wool/polyester mix. They are environmentally friendly and meet sustainable good practice goals for eco-housing.

Woollen Pipe Lagging

As well as reducing your power bill, pipe lagging ensures water runs hotter at the tap and hot water takes less time to arrive.

Pipe lagging made from wool is naturally safer and better for the environment. At the end of the building’s life the woollen lagging can be recycled or composted where it breaks down safely and naturally. Wool lagging is naturally flame retardant which means it is very difficult to ignite. If it does burn it will not release harmful toxins.
