Air Con NZ History

Air Con NZ 2000 Ltd was formed by Stephen and Anthony Tucker from Tucker Electrical after 26 years of contracting experience in Canterbury.  The Air Con NZ name was registered and used to support the national direction the company was starting to take.

During this period Air Con NZ expanded rapidly and Terry and David Clarkson were invited to join with Stephen and Anthony forming a truly national service.  These two companies together created a technical staff base from electronics, electrical to industrial service work.

The air conditioning service installation team comprises of over 60 staff, with 30 additional contractor companies supporting the structure today.  Air Con NZ employs a full team of sales and support people in the Christchurch head office.

Since then Air Con NZ 2000 Ltd has grown to cover from North Cape to Bluff.   Auckland, Northland, Wellington, Nelson, Blenheim, Christchurch, Otago, Westport / Greymouth have joined the team and are trained by Air Con NZ to be fully approved heat pump installers.

Air Con NZ 2000 Ltd became the Delonghi Service agent for Crane Distribution in the

year 2000 for the fixed speed; inverters and ducted heat pump range throughout New Zealand.  Shortly after that, in 2003, Air Con NZ became the service agent for the Haier Range holding a full set of spares for that range of models.

Air Con NZ has now expanded its range of heat pumps to cover Mitsubishi, Fujitsu, Haier, Toshiba, Galanz and lately the American Lennox range has been added.  This provides a  truly unbaised solution when quoting and advising on heat pump installations.

Stephen and Anthony realised the changes in the heat pump air conditioning market would need a specialised design and install type of service and their goal was to apply the same high standards of service and quality installation.  Tucker Electrical was recognised for the Air Con NZ National Network.
