Do we Qualify for a Cash Grant or Financial Assistance?
How do we Qualify?
To qualify for a cash grant or financial assistance through the government funded Energywise™ Warm up New Zealand: Heat smart programme, the following criteria apply:
- The scheme is available to both private homeowners and landlords
- The home must have been built prior to 1 January 2000
- Your home must be insulated to the required standard NZS 4246 before a subsidized Heating system can be installed ( see below for example )
- If your home is already insulated to the required standard, cash grants are available for clean heating options ( see below for example )
Cash Grants and Financial Assistance
Air Con New Zealand customers have the following funding available to them
- All eligible houses receive a cash grant of up to 33% of the total cost of insulation up to $1300 (including GST) and a cash grant of $500 (including GST) for Insulation and clean heating for non community card service holders
- Homeowners who hold Community Services Cards receive a cash grant of 60% of the total cost of insulation and a cash grant of $1200 (including GST) for clean heating
- Landlords with tenants who hold Community Services Cards receive a cash grant of 60% of the total cost of insulation and a cash grant of $500 (including GST) for clean heating
